Eligibility:
-Experience of a range of qualitative social science research techniques
-Proven ability to deliver research on time and to specification
- A PhD in a cognate discipline, (or be about to obtain)
-Knowledge of: Processes and drivers of Local Economic Development, Local Policy making, Sustainable development, Low Carbon Transitions, Support for SMEs and data collection and analysis techniques Interviewing skills
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Good presentation and writing skills

Scholarship Description: You will join an ESRC-funded Knowledge Exchange Partnership between the University of Liverpool, Liverpool Vision, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, and Groundwork Merseyside, which examines and catalyses Liverpool’s transition to a low carbon economy. You will work with businesses and with business advisers to understand the risks and opportunities to businesses of ignoring or embracing the low carbon agenda and to understand how to help them to do more. You will organise a series of seminars to help understand and deepen the transition to a low carbon economy. You will have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in a cognate discipline, an understanding of the complexities of the transition to a low carbon economy and experience of SMEs. The post is available for 12 months.
