Eligibility:
Applicants must have a PhD level academic degree received after April 2008 and be fluent in both spoken and written English. They are expected to be able to conduct methodologically advanced research (using quantitative methods) and publish in international refereed journals. Employment criteria include the degree to which the applicant’s research plan supports the project’s overall goals. Previous experience in register-based research is a merit but not a requirement.

Scholarship Description: The position involves research in the social science project ”Social Stratification Dynamics– Inter- and intragenerational processes”, financed through the Swedish Initiative for Research on Microdata in the Social and Medical Sciences (SIMSAM). The position is for the period 1 September 2012 to 31 August 2015 or as otherwise agreed. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to carry out independent research, collaborate with other project members, contribute to the development of register-based research within the area of social stratification, and to take part in other activities within the project.
