Canada : POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOINFORMATICS AND PLANT PHYSIOLOGY
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO, DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY
A postdoctoral position in the field of Bioinformatics and Plant Physiology is available in the Global Change Molecular Plant Physiology group at the Department of Biology, University of Toronto at Mississauga and will be supervised by Prof. Ingo Ensminger. The group is using physiological, molecular and genomic tools to better understand how climate change will affect forest trees.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will work in the project “Screening tools for assessing adaptation of conifers to future climate” and will examine eastern white pine as a model to investigate adaptation and acclimation of conifers to climate change. Candidates are expected to work in an interdisciplinary research project, get involved in ongoing experiments, to assess genetic variation in trees from experiments and associate physiological and genetic data.
