Eligibility:Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Biological Sciences; (ii) at least 1-2 years of full-time practical laboratory experience; (iii) excellent organizational skills; (iv) a reliable, detail-minded and meticulous work attitude; (v) the ability to work independently and as a good team member; and preferably (vi) experience in working on follicle development in the ovary. The focus of the Xia Laboratory is to understand the biochemistry, cell biology and in vivo biology of molecules involved in bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling that plays important roles in regulating ovarian follicle development, kidney development and function, iron homeostasis and innate immunity.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The appointee will perform genotyping of gene knockout mice, cell culture and transfections, real time PCR, luciferase assays and other routine cellular and molecular biology experiments. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care plus a contract-end gratuity for an appointment of two years.
