PhD degree or similar in biochemistry as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as Researcher or Postdoc Several years of experience as principal investigator in bacterial metabolic engineering and systems biology High quality publication record Significant experience in preparing grant proposals In vivo NMR experience, flux analysis, and metabolite profiling Mentoring researchers and managing independent research projects Strong Team Management Skills Strong work ethics, independent research record, ability to motivate others, highly innovative Internationally very well connected

Scholarship Description: The Senior Researcher position will be focused on the coordination and management of Bacterial Metabolic Engineering Team to improve strains for the production of renewable chemicals. This position will work closely with other project groups that aim at design of novel cell factories for the production of chemicals and at technology that shortens the design cycle in metabolic engineering. We are looking to recruit a Senior Researcher who will be responsible for team start up, the team management and the application of Metabolic Engineering to pathway optimization and bacterial strain development.
